Dear Colleagues,

We promised you a series of updates and we are keeping that promise. This is the second in that series and we are diving straight into action.

UAG Is Ready to Work With Us.

We are excited to share that Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, UAG, one of the most recognized medical schools in the world and one of the largest producers of US medical graduates outside of the United States, has expressed genuine willingness to work with WeAreDocs on helping unmatched US IMGs find a real path forward.

This is significant. UAG graduates thousands of physicians who enter the US match cycle every year. Many of them do not match despite strong credentials and years of dedication. The idea that UAG and WeAreDocs can work together to offer those physicians a real and structured alternative from the moment they need it most is the kind of upstream intervention this community has been waiting for.

We will share more as these conversations develop. But the direction is exciting and the alignment is real.

Your Personal Pathway Portal Is Now Live.

We have been working behind the scenes on something that we believe will change how you experience this journey with us. And it is ready.

Many of you may have already received an invitation from WeAreDocs to join our new platform. If you have, please accept that invite today and complete the questionnaire inside your portal. If you have not yet received an invitation, you can get started directly here:

Join Our Network

Once inside, you will be able to complete our application and questionnaire, see which states you qualify for based on your credentials and training, and track the status of your application in real time. The portal gives you visibility into your own journey so you are never left wondering where things stand.

The more detail you provide in the questionnaire, the more we can do for you. Every piece of information you share helps us understand your background, your training, your goals, and your current situation more completely. That means better matches, faster responses, and a pathway that is tailored specifically to you rather than a one size fits all process.

This is no longer just a form submission into the unknown. This is your personal pathway dashboard. And it is waiting for you.

We encourage every physician in this community, whether you are new to WeAreDocs or have been with us from the beginning, to log in, complete the questionnaire, and keep your profile current. This is the single best thing you can do right now to move your journey forward.

Nevada: The Primary Care Desert Needs You.

Nevada is actively beginning to issue licenses under its alternate licensure pathway and WeAreDocs is scheduled to meet with the Nevada Hospital Association later this month to explore how to help establish and implement programs across the state.

You may know Nevada for its desert. The one we are more focused on is the Primary Care Desert that has left communities across the state without the physicians they need for far too long.

If you are located in Nevada, or if you know any healthcare organizations there that are struggling to fill physician gaps, please reach out to us directly at info@WeAreDocs.com. The timing could not be better and we want to move quickly when the state is ready.

Bridging the Practice Culture Gap.

Something we hear from ITPs regularly is that the transition to US clinical practice involves more than just licensing. There is a real and meaningful difference between practice culture in your home country and the way medicine is practiced in the United States. The pace, the documentation expectations, the patient interaction style, the team dynamics, all of these take adjustment.

We recognize this and we are actively developing a course to help bridge that gap. It will take some time to build it properly but it is coming and it is a priority for us.

In the meantime, if you have an opportunity to pursue a clinical rotation in the United States, we strongly encourage you to do so. These experiences are invaluable in ways that cannot be replicated by reading about them. Exposure to US clinical environments before or alongside your licensure process gives you a meaningful advantage and makes your transition smoother for you, your supervising physician, and your patients.

For support with finding clinical rotation opportunities, we encourage you to reach out to IMG Helping Hands. They have been a trusted resource for ITPs navigating exactly this kind of challenge. Please reach out to them directly to see how they may be able to help you.

Urgent: We Need You in Washington State.

We have two immediate and pressing needs in Washington State and we want to be direct about them.

We are urgently seeking ITPs with Critical Care training and ITPs with a Psychiatry background to come and practice as physicians in Washington State. These are communities that need you now. Not eventually. Now.

If you or someone you know meets the following criteria, please reach out to us immediately:

ECFMG certified
Valid US work authorization
Specialty training in Critical Care or Psychiatry

Please email us with your background and we will prioritize your application. Employers are ready and the pathway is open.

There is more coming in our next update. Stay connected, keep your portal current, and keep spreading the word.
