Many International Medical Graduates are fully trained and experienced physicians who have practiced outside the United States. Due to limitations in the traditional residency system and a fixed number of training positions, many are unable to re enter practice despite demonstrated competency. In response, multiple states have adopted regulated alternate licensure pathways to help address physician shortages while maintaining patient safety.
We work with healthcare organizations and State Medical Commissions to support compliant implementation of these pathways, including education on licensure requirements, supervision models, and physician evaluation. These models have been successfully used in rural, underserved, and critical access settings.
